This is Sarajevo, 1997

Documentary photo series I shot in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the former Yugoslavia while employed by Radio Zid Sarajevo. The series evolved into the film 888 days x 2 when I realized that still images alone were incapable of conveying the true message.

Audism Monologues/Dialogues, 2003

Photography installation and documentary series I conceived, shot and constructed. Audism Monologues is a play written and produced within the Deaf community in Washington, DC and modelled after Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues; directed by Alison Aubrecht and produced by LightKitchen. In 2003, I followed the entire process with my camera, from auditions through final performances, then invited the participants to engage in a dialogue with me by sitting for portraits and responding to a set list of questions.
